Men's Festival Looks

Connor Kirk

As summer starts, so does the music festival season. From Coachella, to Firefly, to Lollapalooza, these festivals are the summer go-to events and, because fashion is one of the biggest parts of the festival culture, you want to make sure you're looking your best. For guys, deciding what to wear to stand out can be a challenge, but it isn't impossible. It's time to ditch the typical sports jersey and fanny-pack for something a bit more fun.

It’s All About Animal Print

Adding a fun, vibrant animal print to your outfit is an easy way to take it from a 6 to a 10. By pairing it with solid-colored pieces, it makes you look trendy, edgy, and cool without the clothes clashing. If you are going for a more masculine look, pair it with a neutral color for a more simple, sleek look. If you want something more fun and different, go for a shirt or short that matches with the pattern.

Femininity Is Hot

Guys often have to dress a certain way to keep their image of masculinity, but breaking this habit is a must-do for your festival outfit. Embrace your inner e-boy with a dangly earring and nail polish and add some glitter to stand out in the crowd. Trust me, girls will love it.

Ditch The Traditional Bags

The hip fanny-pack and drawstring backpack have been staples in festival fashion for years, and it's time to change it up when it comes to bags. If you have a hip fanny-pack that matches your fit but you want to do something different than the norm, try using the bag across your chest or back to spice up the look. The functions of fanny-packs are great for festivals, so the over-the-chest look gives you the best of both worlds.

Accessories Are Key

The most important part to any outfit is the little details. Your outfit can stand out in a crowd with just a few simple touches to bring the look together. Some easy accessories to incorporate into your festival style this year are John Lennon-inspired sunglasses, gold or silver rings, a bandana or scarf around your neck, and a matching bracelet set.
