Fashion Around The World

By Bianca Estella Dutra

Fashion All Around the World

Expressing yourself through fashion is seen all around the world! It changes greatly within different cultures that exist. It can be from the actual clothing trends, accessories, personal style, and so much more. Traditions, history, and value of the outfits around the world can demonstrate someone's culture through their clothes. Let’s talk and explore all the fashion around that exists, how it's celebrated in certain countries and how people use clothes to express themselves on a plane ride away.

French Fashion

France is the home of luxury fashion, with Paris being the fashion capital of the world. French fashion is known for its elegance and sophistication, with iconic brands that everyone is aware of; Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Dior lead the way in haute couture and ready-to-wear. If you plan on going to France, bring all the trousers and pretty sweaters -- you’ll be judged if you don't.

South America Fashion: Moda da Brasil

I may be biased writing about Brazil’s fashion sense because I'm part Brazilian, but when I say that Brazil is vibrant and expressive with their style, I am not lying. The colors that Brazil gives off are all primary but gorgeous, bright, and fun. Known for its beaches, most Brazilians are always at the beach. The swimsuits worn are made perfectly to fit the body- I mean who doesn't want to feel good in a bikini! The bold cuts and bright colors have made an impact on swimwear here in the United States, inspiring many designers. Brands like Havaianas, a flip flop company, and Lenny Niemeyer are known for their beachwear collections that embody the Brazilian spirit of sun, sand, and sea.

Last But Not Least: Australian Fashion

Australians have their unique fashion identity, often their influences come from outdoor activities. Brands like Zimmermann are known for their relaxed yet chic designs, reflecting the laid-back culture of the region.

In today's world, culture in fashion is becoming something that designers draw inspiration from a global palette, being careful not to misusing the cultures. This culture not only enriches the fashion landscape but also celebrates the diversity and beauty of our world's traditions and identities. Therefore, fashion continues to be a powerful medium for cultural expression. Designers don’t just create ideas straight from their head all the time. They pull inspiration from whatever sparks their interest. Cultures are something so unique and sacred, that it inspires designers to create. With gentle care and understanding of the difference of culture appreciation and appropriation, designers can be successful with celebrating the different cultures around us through clothes that we wear on a day-to-day basis.
