MAGIC GARDENS
Magic Gardens is an inspiring mixed media art environment including two indoor galleries and a bi-level outdoor sculpture garden. The space is covered in beautiful mosaics made up of handmade tiles, bottles, bicycle wheels, mirror, and international folk art to chronicle the creator, Isaiah Zagar’s, life and influences. This exhibit is not only an amazing photo opportunity, but hosts different events, such as Mindfulness & Mosaics, Twilight In the Garden, and Garden Parties for 21+ visitors. This year round attraction is very affordable, offering $8 discounted tickets for students!
SPRUCE STREET HARBOR PARK
Spruce Street Harbor park, dubbed as “one of the best urban beaches in America”, is a must have on your summer bucket list. Aside from being a beautiful place to lounge on hammocks by the water, the park has fun summer amenities, such as an arcade, beach games, and giant Jenga. If this isn’t enough to convince you there are also boat rentals, floating restaurants, and a beer garden for those of you that are over 21! Once the sun sets the park is lit with beautiful displays of LED lights. Imagine lounging on the waterfront under the vibrant lights with friends or a significant other. The best part is the waterfront park is free to the public from spring to fall, making it an affordable fun getaway for all college students!
