Harry Styles has been in the public eye for over 10 years, causing constant buzz about what he is wearing. While first becoming experimental with his style in 2017, there is one thing we've learned about Mr. Styles throughout his fashion journey: he is not afraid to bend the rules and make a statement. This mindset inspired a whole generation to experiment with their personal style and take some notes straight from the singer's eclectic closet.

1. The Pearl Necklace

Styles debuted his pearl necklace in late 2019 single handedly resurrecting the accessory. In every public appearance promoting his new album, he was seen wearing the necklace, and his fans started purchasing their own set of pearls inspired by the singer. This caused a trend to form, and they currently are an everyday staple in many people's closets. As its popularity grew, we saw Styles himself experimenting with his own variations of the accessory. In his Golden music video, he wears custom pearls by the brand Éliou.

2. JW Anderson Cardigan

In February of last year, Harry wore the now famous JW Anderson patchwork cardigan during a rehearsal for his Today Show performance. As soon as photos of the oversized cardigan were released, it instantly made an impact on the public and could not have happened at a better time. With the start of quarantine being a few weeks after the performance, fans were looking for something to fill their newfound time at home, so why not pick up crocheting? People on Tik Tok began filming themselves creating lookalikes of the cardigan inspiring others to do the same.

3. Brits 2020 Gucci Suit

Showing up to the 2020 Brit Awards in a brown Gucci suit, Styles accessorized with his signature set of pearls, a lace collared shirt, and a pair of Mary Janes. While this isn't the first time we've seen Mr. Styles experiment with feminine elements, this look is the perfect example of how well the singer subtly incorporates these details, while making all the difference. Looks like this that Styles continues to wear influences so many to experiment with their own style and integrate both masculine and feminine details.

4. 2015 American Music Awards Floral Suit

If you search up: “Harry Styles Suits”, pictures of Styles wearing over 100 different eclectic and colorful suits will show up. In 2015, this was definitely not the case for male celebrities or Styles himself. Menswear at the time on the red carpet consisted of suits in gray, navy, and black, and if they were feeling bold, maybe a dark green. The start of Style’s signature quirky suit look began at the 2015 American Music Awards where he wore a white floral Gucci suit with a black button up and bolo tie. Standing out against his One Direction bandmates, Harry made both internet and news headlines, some loving or hating the new jarring look. From that point on, we saw the singer continue to wear his flashy suits and inspire his male associates and the younger generation to start experimenting with mens wear and give it a new definition.
